On 9 July 2024, the ALICE collaboration celebrated its PhD thesis award winners in a special function organised as a part of the ALICE week collaboration meeting at CERN. The winners are:
- Dr. Francesca Ercolessi (Universita di Bologna, Italy) for the thesis on "The interplay of multiplicity and effective energy for (multi) strange hadron production in pp collisions at the LHC".

- Dr. Florian Jonas (Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany) for the thesis on "Probing the initial state of heavy-ion collisions with isolated prompt photons".
